Android - 2017

It has become important to bring osgearth under Android.

Topics exist since 2013 but nothing is clear.

I just compiled osg + qt under android and everything works fine.

Now we have to compile osgearth.

Please, can you help me to document this procedure ?

How to compile thirdparty needed by osgearth ? (gdal, etc.)
How to compile osgearth ?

Thank you very much.

fabrice.

Re: Android - 2017

Fabrice,

You may have to be the one to lead the way on this project :)

As you say, there have been scattered efforts over the years to build osgEarth on Android, with varying levels of success. It can be done. But I don't know of any documentation you can follow.

Good luck!

Re: Android - 2017

Ok thank you for your answer !

We will try to realize this and we will publish the material.

Do you have at least one methodology that we could follow?

Can the https://github.com/gwaldron/osgearth/tree/topic-android branch be used to start?

The most important thing for us: how do you generate the thirdParty for this branch?

There is a lot of work on this subject! but yes, we take the lead on it !

Thanks you very much
