I would like to understand how to dynamically reload resources. I'm talking about large scale, large resolution point clouds. I'm aware that nothing like this exists (in terms of open source), so I would like to understand how to build something like that.
I already learned about PagedLOD in the OSG Forum and they also told me that OSG Earth heavily relies on this. In the Issue tracker of OSG Earth they told me I need to write some kind of driver to do that. I was not yet able to puzzle both together.
Is somebody able and willed to give me a short overview of what needs to be done to visualize large amounts of point clouds (out-of-core, so that not the whole dataset fits into RAM)?
