GPU clamping performance when top viewing a geocentric earth

We found in a certain way GPU clamping modellayer will dramatic affects performance.

1. we directly top view a geocentric earth,means we set pitch of a viewpoint to -90

2 .we have load several  GPU clamping modellayer

3. Then we zoom in the earth to a certain distance ,about below 300000.

The GPU usage is dramatic up,and frames is dramatic  down.If we change the pitch of a viewpoint not to -90,with the same distance  and same modellayer,the performance is back to normal.

the first image , we view the earth distance from 700000 and set pitch to -90,it runs normal about 30fps.The gpu usage is only 15.56.





The second image,we zoom in ,the distance is about 70000,1/10 of the first image.Stiill set pitch to -90.The frame is dramticly down to 5.58,and the gpu is 166.58!
