How to use the result of osgearth_package

Hi,
As it is very slow to show bing.earth, I followed the document and use osgearth_package to generate a new earth file:
$ osgearth_package tests/bing.earth --tms --out packs --out-earth offlinebing.earth --max-level 5
Then I use osgearth_viewer to show the packaged images:
$ osgearth_viewer packs/offlinebing.earth
But there is just a empty white globe with no images.
Is there anyone who can give some suggestions? Is there any other way to improve the performance?

Re: How to use the result of osgearth_package

osgearth_package can download the online data, download as TMS, you can use the TMS driver load.

osgEarth Editor SXEarth3.8.2 download tool, support more than 20 online maps, high-speed download,  including Google Earth images and elevation, Bing images and maps, Arcgis images and maps... you can download as TMS, mbtiles, bigtif or tfs(for online vector).

I tested it by downloading 200, 000 Google Earth image tiles and splicing it into a big GeoTif, and I was satisfied.

Jeffery,
I have not tried the Bing plugin in a long time (and not at my workstation atm) but remember it being quite snappy. So you have your database pager threads set? I typically run with

set OSG_NUM_DATABASE_THREADS=8
set OSG_NUM_HTTP_DATABASE_THREADS=4

Re: How to use the result of osgearth_package

Hi Glenn,
Thanks for your information.
I had set the two environment values, it became faster then before, but still too slow to use.
