OsgEarth cache permissions

Hey,

Does anybody know if I can modify the default permissions used by the TerrainEngineNode that writes to the cache specified by the .earth file? A bunch of us at work are sharing a sandbox now and having a huge issue where the read and write permissions are on a per user basis and we have to run a chmod on the cache when we're done using it every time and it's a huge pain.

Thanks,

- Blanky

Re: OsgEarth cache permissions

Is this Linux? Did you try setfacl?

BTW, be careful sharing cache folders - it's not necessarily safe to read/write cache from different processes at the same time.

Re: OsgEarth cache permissions

Okay I'll into that. It is on linux, specifically REHL. We're not sharing the cache at the same time, but if a user logs off and another logs on with a different username, then the permissions are all denied. That's what's happening.

EDIT: Strike the setfacl thing, our sys admin said that our group permissions were set to adopt our umasks, all of which we set to be 0002 in our .bashrc profiles.
