Part of Globe missing tiles

This post was updated on .
Hi,

I compiled my app under ubuntu 20.04 (with std libs) and the problem is that north&south poles are white (missing tiles).
(osg/osgEarth runs in QtQuick/Qml window)
(previously app ran on windows and everything was fine)
pure osgearth_viewer's got the same problem

Any hints? problem with libs?(GDAL?)

regards,

Re: Part of Globe missing tiles

Are you using GDAL3.X?
Maybe OSGEarth can't support GDAL3.X right now.

Re: Part of Globe missing tiles

Hi,

make sure that the source material/data includes the polar regions. Some data sources are limited to 80 degree north and south.

Hi,

Polar regions are definetely included.
No matter what .earth file I use, they are missing.
ex. osgearth_viewer /usr/share/osgearth/maps/openstreetmap.earth gives the same result :/

GDAL:
apt info libgdal26
Version: 3.0.4+dfsg-1build3

Re: Part of Globe missing tiles

Problem solved.
I installed Ubuntu 18.04 and GDAL 2.x from std repos and now everything looks fine.
so it looks like problem with GDAL 3.x
