Vectors do not stay aligned with height file

I am loading street map data and world boundaries from shapefiles over aerial imagery.  The street vectors appear aligned with the roads on the imagery at all angles and the world boundary shapefile is displayed.  When I add an elevation file through a height field block in the earth file the country boundaries no longer are displayed.  Additionally the roads vectors are only lined up with the roads in the imagery when I am directly over the line otherwise they appear to shift offset.  I tried to clamp them in place using the styles block as shown in the examples.

I used altitude-clamp: terrain;
          altitude-technique: with each of map, draped and terrain
but no change in the outcome.

I did not see anything in previous postings related to data alignment of OSM data

Re: Vectors do not stay aligned with height file

Bruce,
The proper symbol name is "altitude-clamping" not "altitude-clamp".
