best way to pre-cache data

Hi,

If you know you aren't going to have an internet connection and you want to pre-cache the data what is the best way to do that?

What is the best way to use that cached data?

Lastly, what if you wanted it all "cached" (aka, harvesting)?

Thanks,
Brett

Re: best way to pre-cache data

Hi Brett,

There are a couple of ways you could go about pre-caching the data.  First, you could just open up your .earth file and zoom into the area you're interested in and wait for the tiles to download.

Or, you could use the osgearth_seed program described here:
http://wush.net/trac/osgearth/wiki/EarthFileCaching

Thanks!
