I am trying to create a custom image layer that reads from a custom geospatial file format with a given url. It has a parser to read the file contents and a renderer to create textureWindow. I need this custom image layer and associated url to be written to .earth file when added. And subsequently created when the .earth file is loaded.
I am missing two parts to make this work. First, where do I get the options required for having a filename as part of the layer information in the .earth file. Second, how do I create a custom driver for this type of layer and associate it with this class? Is there a class diagram and/or some example code I could look at?
