shape file and Depth

Hi ! I successfully create a shapefile adn display it into osgearth, but the depth of the element in my shapefile does not seem to be take, only the position for long lat are used . Is this the "height_offset" that is responsible of that effect ?

thanks !

Re: shape file and Depth

Thomas,

Are you saying that you have a 3-dimensional shapefile, but that the feature_geom driver is not picking up the Z coordinate?

The "height_offset" applies a Z offset to each point in the shape, allowing you to raise the entire shape up above the terrain.

Re: shape file and Depth

yes, I create a 3-dim shapefile but the depth does not seem to be take by the driver.
I will do more test abot that as I am not sure that the shapefile with 3dim is well construct ...

thanks

Re: shape file and Depth

Thanks. In the meantime I will test against a 3D shapefile on this end and let you know what I find.

Re: shape file and Depth

problem resolve, it was the shapefile, even if you precise the depth when you create the file if the shapeType is not Z at the end (for example I was constructing a SHPT_ARC->SHPT_ARCZ) he dont take the depth !
