i recently updated to the master repo of osgearth, and i noticed that the terrain is rendred with delaunay...
my question is how i can render as tiles? i mean the way it used to be befor the last update?

Re: terrain without delaunaytriangulator

Brahim,

The osgEarth master branch uses a different default terrain engine than osgEarth 2.9. It still uses tiles, but has a tile-morphing feature that you may be mistaking for Delaunay triangulation. You can disable this is the earth file by setting

<map>
  <options>
    <terrain ... morph_terrain="false"

If that isn't sufficient, you can revert to the old 2.9 terrain engine by either setting it in the earth file or using an environment variable:

<map>
  <options>
    <terrain driver="mp" ...

or

  set OSGEARTH_TERRAIN_ENGINE=mp

Hope this helps.

Re: terrain without delaunaytriangulator

first,
i really appreciate the effort you do in here, and your disponibility for the osgearth community.
for my question your reply was more than enough, i truly was mistaking between delaunay and the tile-morphing feature.
now where can i find docs to understand the core fonctionality of terrain engine? some hight level descrition? if there isn't, from where i start digging (in the code)?
thanks,
cordially Brahim.

Re: terrain without delaunaytriangulator

Brahim,
There isn't a high level description, but the code for the terrain engine is all here:
